This customer desired a new yellow Purbeck Stone driveway, path and rear patio, as well as a new lawn at the rear. The design was finished with Highland Stone edged borders complemented with shingle. A large amount of the existing front and rear gardens had to be removed, the existing grass and patio were excavated and the ground was leveled. In the process it was discovered that the original patio had been put in incorrectly and was above the damp course of the property. To correct this the ground was dug to a level beneath the damp course and the new Purbeck Stone patio was laid beneath the damp course, meeting with the new lawn and Highland Stone borders. At the front the existing fence and part of the ground were removed and two new brick walls were built and rendered. A six inch sub-base was installed to provide ample support as the driveway would be used for parked cars, and then the Purbeck Stone driveway was laid.
